Powered by Shams Power, our mission is to break barriers, empower, and foster a community of female engineering students, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to excel in the dynamic world of solar energy. We provide a fully funded 6-day training to female engineers to start their careers in their relevant industry. Our final SolarEmpowHer training cohort wrapped up with six incredible days of learning, skill-building, and hands-on experience.

From rooftop solar site visits to technical design sessions, soft skills workshops, and live panel installations, this training empowered 18 aspiring women engineers with practical knowledge and industry exposure to thrive in the renewable energy sector.

This may have been our last batch under this phase, but the momentum we’ve built is just the beginning.

Day 6 – Graduation & New Beginnings

Day 6 will mark more than just the end of training—it will be the beginning of a bold new chapter.

At our Graduation and Closing Ceremony, we’ll celebrate the journey these women have taken—from curiosity to confidence, from learners to changemakers. With every certificate handed out, a new story of empowerment will begin.

Day 5 – Hands-On Installation

Day 5 will be all about turning knowledge into action.

After a week of learning the theory, participants will step into the field—installing solar panels and putting their skills to the test. With every tool they handle and every panel they place, their confidence will grow stronger.

Day 4 – Soft Skills in Focus

On Day 4, Aliya Khan and Zaryab Mahmood will lead a session focused on communication, confidence, and the kind of leadership that comes from within. This won’t just be about speaking up—it’ll be about showing up, with purpose and power.

Day 3 – Hands-On Solar Training with Shams Team

Solar EmpowHer program will be all about hands-on practice with the Shams team.

Participants will use real tools, connect wires, set up panels, and learn how each part comes together during a solar installation. It’s a full day dedicated to practical learning—turning knowledge into skill.

They’ll work in teams, support each other, and ask questions as they go. By this point, everything learned in the first two days will start to click in a real, hands-on way.

This is what Solar EmpowHer stands for—giving women the practical skills they need to install solar systems confidently. No fluff, no distractions—just focused, real-world training.

Day 2 – Plant Visit + Technical Training

On Day 2 of the Solar EmpowHer training, the group will visit a solar plant near Packages Mall. Participants will get to see real solar panels, inverters, and a fully functioning setup—bringing all the concepts from Day 1 to life.

After the site visit, the training will continue at the Shams office, where everyone will get hands-on experience. From checking equipment to understanding how different parts connect, the goal is to turn theory into practice.

This kind of experience makes a real impact. It’s one thing to hear or read about solar systems, but seeing them up close and trying things out builds real confidence.

At Solar EmpowHer, we believe in learning by doing—and Day 2 will be all about that.

Day 1 – Technical Training with Numra Ansari

The Solar EmpowHer training program begins in two days with a full-day technical session.

Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals, how solar systems function, the equipment used, and what’s required for installation. The session will be led by Numra Ansari, who will walk everyone through the basics in a simple and practical way.

This day is all about building a solid foundation. Before jumping into any hands-on work, we’re making sure every participant feels confident and informed.
