β‘ In Kagoshima, Japan, Chint Power has deployed a 3.6 MW / 10 MWh energy storage system, designed to deliver stronger and smarter grid support.
Built on a dual-stage architecture, the system features wide DC voltage adaptive regulation and enhanced high-voltage ride-through capability β helping to maintain stable operation amid frequent grid fluctuations in the Kyushu region.
Equipped with advanced grid-forming technology, the ESS can actively provide voltage support, inertia response, and frequency regulation, supporting grid stability beyond traditional grid-following operation.
The project also incorporates cluster-level battery management and an EMS remote monitoring platform, improving battery consistency, maximising system performance, and reducing O&M pressure in Japanβs high labour-cost market.
