On 26th February - 2026 PPMA Chairman, Vice Chairman, EC Members & Special Invitees from north side conducted 17th meeting (2024-2026) in Lahore.
Chaired by Chairman Mr. Syed Nabeel Hashmi.
📌 All Standing Committee Conveners gave their reports on the committee workings, follow-ups and briefed their upcoming yearly calendar.
📌 Among them are Membership Committee, Environment, Administration, Exhibition, Foreign Delegation, Seminars, Conferences & PPMA Directory Committees.
📌 High appreciation for PPMA Environment Committee, who played their vital role to save the Pakistan Plastic Industry. Said committee regularly visited related ministries in Islamabad. They highlighted the motive of association to the bureaucracy, national assembly and government officials.
📌 The Chairman approve the Convener, S/C Foreign Delegations & International Exhibitions, to initiate Expression on Interest forms on the InterPlas2026 Trade Show, Birmingham, UK 🇬🇧.
📌 After ChinaPlas-2025 and K-Show-2025, this will be third show in this tenure of 2024-2026.
📌 PPMA Membership renewals were also discussed and briefed by Committee Convener.
📌 Meeting hosted by our former SVC Mr. Khalil Ahmed & EC Member Mr. Adeel Ahmed, followed by Iftar Dinner at Flatties Hotel, Lahore.

PPMA قیادت نے یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی (UET) لاہور میں پولیمر پائیداری اور سرکلیرٹی کے افتتاحی تقریب میں شرکت کی۔
🍀 چیئرمین PPMA، جناب سید نبیل ہاشمی، وائس چیئرمین جناب رضوان اسلم، ایگزیکٹو کمیٹی (EC) کے اراکین، سابق عہدیداران اور EC اراکین نے 16 فروری 2026 کو یونیورسٹی آف انجینئرنگ اینڈ ٹیکنالوجی (UET)، لاہور میں ڈپارٹمنٹ آف پولیمر اینڈ پروسس انجینئرنگ کی جانب سے منعقدہ پولیمر پائیداری اور سرکلیرٹی کی افتتاحی تقریب میں شرکت کی۔
🍀 اس تقریب میں پاکستان کی پلاسٹک صنعت اور انجینئرنگ کے طلبہ کی کثیر تعداد نے شرکت کی، جو پولیمر سیکٹر میں پائیداری اور سرکلر اکانومی کی بڑھتی ہوئی اہمیت کی عکاسی کرتی ہے۔
🍀 مہمانِ اعزاز کے طور پر، چیئرمین PPMA جناب سید نبیل ہاشمی نے پلاسٹک صنعت میں حالیہ پیش رفت پر قیمتی بصیرتیں شیئر کیں اور ذمہ دارانہ مینوفیکچرنگ اور ری سائیکلنگ اقدامات کو فروغ دینے میں PPMA کے فعال کردار کو اجاگر کیا۔ انہوں نے پولیمر انجینئرنگ کے طلبہ کے لیے منظم انٹرنشپ مواقع کی اشد ضرورت پر زور دیا اور اکیڈیمیا اور صنعت کے درمیان مضبوط تعاون کی حوصلہ افزائی کی۔
🍀 چیئرمین نے اس بات کا اعادہ کیا کہ PPMA ڈپارٹمنٹ آف پولیمر اینڈ پروسس انجینئرنگ اور UET لاہور کی تحقیق، جدت اور پلاسٹک سیکٹر میں پائیدار طریقوں کو فروغ دینے کی کوششوں کی حمایت کے لیے پرعزم ہے۔
🍀 جناب چیئرمین، PPMA اور پاکستان پلاسٹک انڈسٹری کے نمائندوں نے ڈپارٹمنٹ کے چیئرمین ڈاکٹر آصف علی قیصر اور ان کے PPE فیکلٹی کے مثبت کردار اور کوششوں کو سراہا۔

PPMA Leadership Attends Launching Ceremony of _Polymer Sustainability & Circularity_ at University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore.

🍀 Chairman PPMA, Mr. Syed Nabeel Hashmi, Vice Chairman Mr. Rizwan Aslam, Executive Committee (EC) Members, along with former office bearers and EC members, attended the Launching Ceremony of Polymer Sustainability & Circularity organized by the Department of Polymer & Process Engineering at the University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore on 16th February 2026.

🍀 The ceremony witnessed a remarkable participation from the plastic industry of Pakistan as well as a large number of engineering students, reflecting the growing importance of sustainability and circular economy in the polymer sector.

🍀 As Guest of Honor, Chairman PPMA Mr. Syed Nabeel Hashmi shared his valuable insights on the recent developments in the plastic industry and highlighted the proactive role of PPMA in promoting responsible manufacturing and recycling initiatives. He emphasized the critical need for structured internship opportunities for polymer engineering students, encouraging stronger collaboration between academia and industry.

🍀 The Chairman reaffirmed that PPMA stands committed to supporting the Department of Polymer & Process Engineering and UET Lahore in their efforts to promote research, innovation, and sustainable practices within the plastic sector.

🍀 Mr. Chairman, representatives of PPMA and Pakistan Plastic Industry acknowledged the positive role and efforts from the Department’s Chairman Dr. Asif Ali Qaiser and his PPE Faculty.
