PPMA North Updates — Chinese Delegation Visits PPMA North Office & Plaspack Factory 🇨🇳🤝🇵🇰

We were delighted to host Mr. Johnson, Sales Director of Beijing Wisewinner Equipment Co., Ltd. (website: www.wiseworld.asia), during his first visit to Pakistan. After discovering PPMA through Google, the delegation visited our PPMA North Zone Office and later the Plaspack Factory, where they were warmly welcomed by Mr. Sohail (EC Member).

On behalf of PPMA, Mr. Sohail presented the PPMA Directory 2025, introducing the association’s role in Pakistan’s plastic industry. The delegation shared their company’s expertise in extrusion machinery and the production of recycled & premium quality PP/PET materials, including granules such as EDP and other specialized grades.

Mr. Johnson expressed appreciation for PPMA’s professionalism, noting that our standards are “superior to others.” He also highlighted their company’s focus on innovative machinery and sustainable material solutions.

Additionally, Mr. Sohail extended a warm invitation to the delegation to participate in PakPlas Expo 2027, Pakistan’s largest plastics and rubber exhibition, scheduled for 7–9 January 2027 in Lahore.

وفد نے اپنی کمپنی کی مہارت بیان کی، جس میں ایکسٹروژن مشینری، ری سائیکل اور پریمیم کوالٹی PP/PET میٹریلز، اور گرانولز (EDP اور دیگر اقسام) کی تیاری شامل ہے۔ مسٹر جانسن نے PPMA کے پیشہ ورانہ معیار کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ ہمارے معیار “دوسروں سے بہتر ہیں”۔

Pakistan Plastic Manufacturers Association (PPMA)

We are proud to recognize the distinguished representation of our Executive Committee Member, Mr. Atif Nawaz Mughal, at the Pre‑Budget Session of the Senate Standing Committee on Finance.

The session, presided over by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, provided a platform for the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) to present its budget proposals. With the support of Mr. Faheem‑ur‑Rehman Saigol, President LCCI, Mr. Atif Nawaz Mughal presented recommendations on tariff lines, including:

1- Duty relief on raw materials that are entirely imported and have no local substitutes.

2- Balanced increase in duty structure on locally produced raw materials.

These proposals reflect a pragmatic approach aimed at strengthening Pakistan’s industrial base and promoting export‑oriented growth.

The day concluded with a cordial dinner alongside Mr. Faheem‑ur‑Rehman Saigol, President LCCI Mr. Moazzam Rasheed (Bin Rasheed Group) and His Younger Mr. Sheraz Younas, further reinforcing collaboration between industry leaders.

🌐 Central Executive Committee (EC) Meeting – 09 April 2026
The Central Executive Committee (EC) Meeting was successfully held online on 9th April 2026.

Participants: Office Bearers, EC Members, Special Invites, and Secretariat staff from both North Zone & Head Office attended.

Highlights:

More than 50 slides were presented by the Chairman, covering key updates and strategic directions.

Present Conveners also shared their workings and activities, showcasing progress and future plans.

This meeting reflected the Association’s commitment to collaboration, transparency, and strategic growth.

✨Taking the opportunity of this important engagement, Mr. Chairman briefed the SAPM on the role of the Pakistan Plastic Manufacturers Association (PPMA) and highlighted the Association’s continuous efforts towards recycling ♻️ promotion and public awareness across Pakistan.

✨As PPMA represents one of the largest and most critical segments of Pakistan’s plastics and packaging value chain, this is a major opportunity to secure support for:

The Pakistan Plastic Manufacturers Association (PPMA) is proud to share the achievement of our valued member, RON Extrusions Engineering, Lahore.
We were honored to welcome Her Excellency Maja Mortensen, Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan, to RON Extrusions Engineering. The entire team at RON Extrusions Engineering and RON International hosted Her Excellency with great respect and presented their vision for innovation, engineering excellence, and sustainable industrial growth.

During the visit, Her Excellency toured the advanced machinery manufacturing facility and was briefed on the company’s fabrication processes, engineering capabilities, and technologies driving excellence in Pakistan’s industry.
PPMA extends its appreciation to the Ambassador and the Embassy of Denmark for their continuous support in strengthening collaboration between Danish companies and their partners in Pakistan.

On 01st April - 2026 PPMA Chairman, Vice Chairman, former Chairman and SVCs, EC Members & Special Invitees from north side conducted 18th meeting (2024-2026) in Lahore.
Chaired by Chairman Mr. Syed Nabeel Hashmi.
📌 All Standing Committee Conveners gave their reports on the committee workings, follow-ups and briefed their upcoming yearly calendar.
📌 Among them are Membership Committee, Environment, Administration, Exhibition, Foreign Delegation, Seminars, Conferences & PPMA Directory Committees.
📌 High appreciation for PPMA Membership Committee and Convener Mr. Sohail Akbar, who played their vital role in renewals of PPMA members in time. The renewed membership certificates of the year 2026-27 will be sent after the amended extension date from DGTO i.e. 20th April-2026.
📌 The Chairman approves the Convener, S/C Foreign Delegations & International Exhibitions, to initiate ChinaPlas-26 visit for members who have valid Chinese Visa or can arrange the visa by their self. This PPMA delegation can be joined without any of delegation fee / charges.
📌 After ChinaPlas-2025 and K-Show-2025, this will be third show in this tenure of 2024-2026.
📌 Mr. Chairman purposed the idea to launch PPMA’s own Polymer Plastic Industry portal for regular updates and internationals scans. Its need of the time.
That will be beneficial for members as well as the plastic industry of Pakistan. Which will be then a commercial base venture.
📌 Chairman also took initiative to launch campaign for General Public Awareness in the benefit of Plastic and its advantages such as Recyclable ♻️ material, reuse and circular Economy.
📌 Members also discussed the current middle east / gulf conflict that raise the polymer raw material prices dramatically.
📌 Mr. Abdullah Tariq former Vice Chairman briefed on seaworthy raw material shipment issues, hesitation from shipping lines for vessels schedules and expected congestion at our Pakistani sea ports.
📌 Meeting hosted by our former EC Member Mr. Raja Omer Nawaz, followed by Dinner at Eten Restaurant, Lahore.
