املی والا پانی اور ہمارے گھر

پاکستان میں گھروں کی تعمیر کے دوران اکثر یہ مسئلہ سامنے آتا ہے کہ نئی لگائی اینٹوں یا پلستر شدہ دیواروں کی سطح پر سفید رنگ کا پاؤڈر نمودار ہونے لگتا ہے۔ اسے عام زبان میں “شور” کہا جاتا ہے، جبکہ تعمیراتی اصطلاح میں اسے ایفّلوریسنس (Efflorescence) کہا جاتا ہے۔ یہ نمکیات دراصل اینٹ، ریت یا سیمنٹ کے اندر موجود منرلز کے نمی کے ساتھ باہر آنے کا نتیجہ ہوتے ہیں۔ وقت کے ساتھ یہ دیوار کو داغ دار، کمزور اور بدصورت کر دیتے ہیں۔

اگرچہ شور کو روکنے کے لیے جدید کیمیکلز موجود ہیں، مگر پاکستان کے کئی علاقوں میں آج بھی ایک روایتی مگر موثر نسخہ استعمال کیا جاتا ہے — املی والا پانی۔

املی والا پانی کیا کرتا ہے؟

املی میں قدرتی تیزابیت پائی جاتی ہے، جو اینٹوں میں موجود نمکیات کو بے اثر کرنے میں مدد دیتی ہے۔ جب املی والا پانی اینٹوں یا دیوار پر لگایا جاتا ہے تو:
• نمکیات کے اثر کو کم کرتا ہے۔
• اینٹوں پر جمع شدہ شور کو صاف کر دیتا ہے۔
• مستقبل میں دوبارہ شور اُبھرنے سے بچاتا ہے۔
• دیوار کی سطح کو صاف اور ہموار بناتا ہے۔

املی والا پانی بنانے کا طریقہ

اجزاء:
• املی: 250–300 گرام
• پانی: 5 لیٹر

طریقہ:
1. ایک بالٹی میں پانی ڈال کر املی کو اچھی طرح بھگو دیں۔
2. 2 سے 3 گھنٹے بعد املی کو نچوڑ کر گاڑھا پانی تیار کر لیں۔
3. اس محلول کو باریک کپڑے سے چھان لیں تاکہ ریشہ وغیرہ الگ ہو جائے۔

یہی املی کا محلول شور صاف کرنے اور کم کرنے کے لیے استعمال ہوتا ہے۔

اینٹوں یا دیواروں پر املی والا پانی کیسے لگائیں؟
1. پہلا مرحلہ: شور صاف کریں
• دیوار پر موجود خشک سفید پاؤڈر کو برش یا جھاڑو سے اچھی طرح جھاڑ لیں۔
• پانی سے نہ دھوئیں ورنہ نمکیات مزید اندر چلے جاتے ہیں۔
2. دوسرا مرحلہ: املی والا پانی لگائیں
• برش یا اسپرے سے محلول اچھی طرح پوری سطح پر لگائیں۔
• ایک بار لگانے کے بعد 1–2 گھنٹے چھوڑ دیں۔
• شدید شور کی صورت میں یہ عمل دو سے تین بار بھی دہرایا جا سکتا ہے۔
3. تیسرا مرحلہ: سطح کو خشک کریں
• محلول لگنے کے بعد دیوار کو مکمل طور پر خشک ہونے دیں۔
• اس کے بعد پلستر، پینٹ یا سفید کاری کی جا سکتی ہے۔

املی والا پانی کب استعمال کرنا چاہیے؟
• نئی تعمیر کے فوراً بعد اگر شور دکھائی دے۔
• پلستر سے پہلے تاکہ نمکیات پہلے ہی ختم ہو جائیں۔
• پرانے گھروں میں جہاں شور بار بار بنتا ہو۔
