Monsoon winds are weakening in our region while post monsoon rainfalls expected in last days of Sept to starting days of oct.
MJO is expected to remain active over the Indian Subcontinent until 5th September, enhancing monsoon activity in southeast Sindh, northeast Pakistan , upper Punjab and Kashmir, where above-normal rainfall is likely. After this period, relatively drier conditions are expected. However, MJO is projected to return in the third week of September that may trigger to active Bob or North Arabian Sea, with potential for monsoon rainfall spells and even the development of a deep depression or cyclone.
