CISNR, UET Peshawar successfully trained 65 women engineers in Energy Management Systems (EnMS) and placed them across six municipal organizations under the project, “Promotion of Sustainable Energy in Municipalities of Pakistan,” supported by GIZ Pakistan and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The initiative provided hands-on training in energy management and sustainable practices.

Through field exposure, mentorship, and skill-development sessions, the program equipped participants with the practical knowledge and professional experience needed to begin their careers in Pakistan’s energy sector.

Another step forward toward digital and sustainable power systems in Saidpur Feeder Lahore!

In close collaboration with Lahore Electric Supply Company, installations are advancing to support the digitalization and decarbonization of power distribution networks.

Supported by the GIZ Pakistan (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) and funded by BMZ (The Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development - Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung, BMZ), this initiative is contributing to smarter, more sustainable grid operations.

So far, the intervention is benefiting 2,084 consumers, marking steady progress toward improved grid visibility, operational efficiency, and environmental sustainability.

These efforts are enabling:
• Real-time monitoring and enhanced grid visibility
• Reduction in technical losses and energy waste
• Optimized load management and network efficiency
• Lower environmental impact through efficient energy use

A meaningful step toward building a resilient, efficient, and environmentally responsible power system.

CISNR hosted PESCO officials Mr. Inam Ullah Shah (Director IT) and Mr. Haider Ali (Assistant Director IT) for a technical discussion conducted under the DDPG Project, Implemented by GIZ (German Cooperation) and funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).

Discussions focused on enhancing energy monitoring platforms and associated hardware, with emphasis on system accuracy, network architecture, communication protocols, and improved data visibility across APMS, TransfoCure, and ElectroCure devices.
The engagement reinforces institutional collaboration toward scalable, reliable, and data-driven energy monitoring solutions.

Highlights from our recent seminar on Energy Management Systems (EnMS) implementation, conducted under the GIZ Pakistan supported and Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) funded project “Scaling up Sustainable Energy Management Systems (EnMS) in Pakistani Cities (REEE-Scale II).” The event in Islamabad brought together learning, collaboration, and practical insights, with active participation from Capital Development Authority (CDA), Metropolitan Corporation Authority, Agha Khan Agency for Habitat, Rawalpindi Waste Management Company, Rawalpindi Cantonment Board, WASA Rawalpindi, and Association for Development of Local Governance (ADLG) strengthening institutional capacity for effective energy management.
