Since the industrial revolution, carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gas emissions have raised temperatures, even higher in the poles, and as a result, glaciers are rapidly melting, calving off into the sea, and retreating on land.
Researchers estimate that the production and incineration of plastic will pump more than 850 million tonnes of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere. By 2050, those emissions could rise to 2.8 billion tonnes.
How alarming it is!

Savvy Engineers from 🇵🇰representing International Islamic University, is conserving the environment by recycling waste plastics into 3D filaments. They are increasing the life-span of plastic by following the hierarchy of waste management using the four R’s: reduce, reuse, recycle and recover. ♻️
This technology will help to reduce plastic pollution by the introduction of a large-scale market for 3D printing filament in Pakistan. 🙌🏼

Every year, humans produce 300 million tonnes of plastic waste, including 11 million tonnes that eventually wind up in the ocean. By 2050, there could be more plastic than fish in our seas.

We all have a role to play to , even amid COVID-19 & other crises: refuse plastic cutlery & straws, use refillable water bottles, and bring your own coffee cups & shopping bags.

Oil is a non-renewable source while we are much depended on oil for multiple uses. If we do not recycle plastic waste then we may not enough oil resources for day to day use. Recycle plastic waste in order to sustain the environment.
