Crown Construction & Engineering Company is proud to share the successful completion of the restoration of the historic Main Kalam Mosque, Swat, under the World Bank-Supported KITE Project.

This important work, led by the Directorate General of Archaeology & Museums, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, shows a strong commitment to protecting our cultural and religious heritage.

One of the most beautiful parts of this restoration is the incredible carving work done on deodar (Diyar) wood. These detailed and artistic wood designs were carefully brought back to life by talented craftsmen. Every piece of carving tells a story of our history, culture, and faith.

We truly admire and appreciate the efforts of everyone involved in this stunning woodwork, which will now be preserved for future generations to see, learn from, and be proud of.

We are honored to be part of this meaningful journey in preserving our traditions.

The grand inauguration ceremony, attended by dignitaries like MNA Dr. Amjad Ali Khan, MPA Main Sharafat Ali, and Mayor Main Shahid Ali, was a testament to the project's success.

KITE-DoT collaboration and the Directorate of Archaeology and Museums' expertise ensured the mosque's cultural heritage was preserved for future generations.

The World Bank team conducted a field mission in Swat from July 9th to 11th, 2024, to assess ongoing works and monitor environmental and social compliance. They visited Kalam Mosque and Pishmal Mosque to oversee preservation and conservation efforts by DoAM KP through World Bank assisted Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development Project - KITE and ensure World Bank standards were met. The team also reviewed the conservation and environmental and social safeguards of the historical Mehmood Ghazanvi Mosque in Odigram.
