Field Study Tour: 32nd Session of Technical Induction Course, Batch of 22 Nos. Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) at WAPDA Engineering Academy Faisalabad, visited Daral Khwar HPC Bahrain.

Mr. Kamran Khalil (Assistant Resident Engineer) along with Mr. Zahid Amin (Assistant Director I. T), welcomed the distinguished guests.

Presentation, along with a detailed briefing delivered by ARE, on P**O inception, scope of work, completed and underconstruction hydropower projects and comprehensive detail about Daral Khwar HPC.

The participants were divided into two groups. They were briefed by Engr. Fawad Khan (Shift In-charge Operation), in Central Control Room, afterwards visited various sections of the power house.

Respected Mr. Mohsin Ali, Course Director WEA, and distinguished participants appreciated the hard work of P**O indigenous O&M Team and the overall progress in the Hydel Sector.

NOC issued to PESCO for their annual maintenance of 132kV Transmission Line (Swat-Matta CKT) on 14-Oct-2025 (0900 to 1500Hrs).

Preventive Maintenance in Power House (i.e. Excitation Transformer, MV-LV Switchgear Room, Station Transformer, Power Transformers, Line Insulators) and Flushing at Weir Site executed to effectively utilize the shutdown time.

Resident Engineer and Assistant Resident Engineer, managed, supervised and actively participated in the activities carried out.

The assigned tasks were successfully completed within the stipulated time and the plant synchronized with the national grid upon restoration of the 132KV supply line.

🚨Flood emergency from (0300Hrs,14-Aug-2025). The situation is undercontrolled. The team is vigilant and prepared for any unpredictable situation to promptly execute the SOPs and safeguard the national asset and precious lives.

The Hon'ble Special Assistant to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Energy & Power, Engr.Tariq Mahmood Khan Saddozai, visited 36.6MW Daral Khwar Hydropower Complex, Bahrain District Swat.

Hassan ud din Hassam (R.E) along with Kamran Khalil (A.R.E) & Fazl-e-Rabbi (Admn.) welcomed the distinguished guest and had a detailed presentation delivered by the Resident Engineer.

Walk-around visits to the complex and weir site were arranged to provide detailed briefing on the existing condition, rehabilitation works and planning for the remaining civil works, to completely restore the intake site to its original shape.

The SACM appreciated the hospitality and the overall efforts of the indigenous O&M team of Daral Khwar HPC.

Study Tour of 25 Nos. of participants of 73rd–Session of “Sector Specific (Pre-Promotion) Course for Junior Engineers (Distn./T&G), along with the faculty members of WAPDA Engineering Academy Faisalabad.

Kamran Khalil (Assistant Resident Engineer) welcomed the distinguished guest and had a detailed presentation and question/answer session conducted in the conference room.

Hassan ud din Hassam (Resident Engineer) received the shield from the course director, WAPDA-EAF, on behalf of CEO P**O.

Briefing and walk-around visits were arranged for the participants of the course to apprise them of the overall mechanism of the hydropower generating station.

Course Director Sir. Mehboob Farid (EAF), Dy.Course Director Sir. Rashid Mehmood (EAF), and all SDO/AM/JE from (AJK, FESCO, GEPCO, HESCO, PESCO, QESCO, IESCO, LESCO, MEPCO & SEPCO) appreciated the presentation, hospitality and the overall efforts of the indigenous O&M team of P**O.

Detailed presentation, delivered by Kamran Khalil (Assistant Resident Engineer), on P**O inception, scope of work, completed and underconstruction hydropower projects, and particularly on Daral Khwar Hydropower Complex.

Briefing and walk-around visit were arranged for the participants of the course to enhance their knowledge and information about run-of-river hydel station.

Course Director Sir. Nauman Mushtaq (PEA) and respected Executive Engineers from various engineering departments of Punjab Government, Balochistan Government and AJK Government, appreciated the presentation, hospitality and the overall efforts of the indigenous O&M team of P**O.
