Nie każda inspekcja podwodna wymaga zejścia nurka pod wodę. W zależności od rodzaju obiektu, warunków oraz zakresu prac odpowiednim rozwiązaniem może być również wykorzystanie ROV - zdalnie sterowanego pojazdu podwodnego.
