For the second year running, YABIMO is proud to support SKS KUSY Kraków Piłka Ręczna at the Rema 1000 Handballfestivalen in Stord, taking place 22–25 May. 🤾

This year, not one but three SKS Kusy Kraków teams will represent Poland across different age categories - and it's great to see that number grow!

Last year's tournament set a high bar - the team from Kraków finished in 2nd place. In Stord next week, three teams will look to build on that.

We're cheering for every player, coach, and supporter making the trip to Norway. We'll be following every match!

Hearing perspectives from the Obama Foundation and former President Aleksander Kwaśniewski was a strong reminder of how complex leadership has become today.

This year’s UEK Honours WISE Symposium focused on “Leadership in Times of Dynamic Change,” bringing together students, alumni - Uniwersytet Ekonomiczny w Krakowie - and invited guests for three days of discussion and exchange.

The program explored leadership across business, politics, and education, offering a range of perspectives on how decisions are made in fast-moving environments.

The symposium opened with a lecture by Daniel Di Giusto, sharing practical insights on developing leadership capabilities. A key highlight was the address by Aleksander Kwaśniewski, reflecting on leadership through Poland’s transformation in the 1990s and its relevance today.

What stood out most was the emphasis on dialogue and perspective. Creating space to reflect, challenge assumptions, and learn from different viewpoints remains critical in shaping responsible leaders.

We were glad to support the 10th anniversary edition as a partner, and to be part of initiatives that make this kind of exchange possible.

Gerard is a great example of how technical expertise and a passion for adventure can go hand in hand.

For years, he has been involved in demanding offshore projects as an ISO Supervisor, working across coating and insulation scopes. His focus is on supporting ex*****on and ensuring quality during site testing, where attention to detail is critical.

His experience is backed by FROSIO certifications in both insulation and coating, placing him among highly specialised professionals in the field.

Outside of work, his time looks very different:
• Film and TV work - in ways that might surprise you
• Sailing and kitesurfing
• Time in nature, including his role as President of a Hunting Association
• Fishing - time to disconnect and reset

Different environments, same mindset: discipline, focus, and consistency.

The NHO Vestland conference in Stord brought together business, industry, and public institutions to discuss the future of the region.

Our Client Advisory Manager for the Norwegian market, Christian Fitjar Dahl, attended the event.

The conversations centered on four interconnected challenges:

• How to drive innovation and transformation in practice - not just in theory.
• How to stay competitive as pressure grows from Europe, the US, and China.
• How to build resilience as crises become less the exception and more the norm.
• How to secure access to skilled labor in a market where demand continues to outpace supply.

What stood out was not the scale of these challenges - they are well understood - but the quality of the thinking around how to respond to them, and the need to move from discussion to ex*****on.

Vestland has strong foundations. Navigating what lies ahead will require more than industry expertise - it will require adaptability, collaboration, and a willingness to rethink established ways of working. Worth reflecting on, wherever you are in the world.

Meet Konrad Napieraj. For over a decade, he has been part of , supporting projects around the world.

As a Quality Control Inspector for Insulation, he plays a key role in ensuring quality and upholding the highest standards on site. He is currently working at a shipyard in Stord.

He is known among his colleagues for his positive attitude, energy, and professionalism.

Outside of work, he has a strong interest in automotive, winter sports, sailing, and travel, and enjoys spending his free time exploring mountain trails.

In his own words: „If I’m smiling on site, it usually means I haven’t found anything… yet. 😊”
