EERI UPRM Chapter EERI UPRM is a student chapter of the national, nonprofit Earthquake Engineering Research Institute.

EERI UPRM is a student chapter of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), which is a national, nonprofit, technical society of engineers, geoscientists, architects, planners, public officials, and social scientists. Our chapter was founded in May 2002 at University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus, being the first chapter established out of the continental United States. Our objective is to reduce the risk caused by earthquakes through research and engineering practice.
