Inter Dev Association of Computer Science

As we pass our positions to the new directive, we want to formally say good bye to you all. Most of us graduate so we are not only ending our term in the association but also closing a very important chapter in our lives.

We want to thank our members for trusting us and for working alongside us to make 2019-2020 a great year. Thanks for your support and for being present throughout this journey. We appreciate each and every one of you.

Although we are saying good bye, we want you to know that we will always be somehow connected to you. We are here to serve you as examples and mentors. We are here to help in any way we can.

We wish you the best of success and hope we can continue working hard to keep InterDev alive.

Due to strict quarantine measures, we will not be able to fulfill the showcase event. We are planning to make a video to highlight all the submissions, we hope that you can understand that we don't want to risk the health of the community. [COMUNICADO DE PRENSA]
UNIVERSIDAD INTERAMERICANA DECRETA RECESO ACADÉMICO

13 de marzo de 2020- El presidente de la Universidad Interamericana de Puerto Rico (UIPR), el licenciado Manuel J. Fernós, decretó un receso académico y administrativo, para todas sus unidades académicas y academias, desde el lunes 16 hasta el 30 de marzo, con el objetivo de proteger la salud y bienestar de la comunidad universitaria y en respaldo al llamado de la Gobernadora de Puerto Rico para evitar la propagación y el contagio del COVID-19.

“Con esta medida esperamos que nuestro país pueda recuperar prontamente su estabilidad económica y social y que todos podamos regresar prontamente a la normalidad. A pesar de la medida que estamos tomando nuestro objetivo es que nuestros estudiantes culminen su término académico exitosamente pero poniendo como prioridad la salud y seguridad de todos los miembros de nuestra comunidad universitaria”, indicó.

El presidente le solicitó a todos los empleados y estudiantes de la Interamericana que durante este tiempo permanezcan en su hogares de forma tal que detengamos el contagio del COVID-19. “Para que esta medida funcione es necesario que todo el pueblo se una y colabore. Rogamos al Señor que esta medida funcione y pedimos tranquilidad y prudencia ante esta situación que unidos, vamos a superar”, concluyó.

COVID-19 Virus Concerns Update – Official Statement

Due to the recent state of emergency just announced today on the island, we have decided to take preventive measures in order to avoid the spread of the COVID-19 Virus (otherwise known as the coronavirus).

What does this mean for the Game Jam and the Showcase? We have decided to extend the Game Jam to April 30th, the Showcase has been postponed and we will announce the date in the upcoming weeks. For current participants, you can still work on your game submission! If anyone is still interested in joining the jam, you can still participate and even make more than one submission.

More details will be shared about potential changes due to the situation we are facing, we hope that you can understand, and we look forward to seeing your games!
