LAYER — A New Life for an Iconic System
Designed by Favaretto&Partners, LAYER has played an important role in GUIALMI’s history, becoming one of our most iconic office furniture systems.
Over the years, LAYER has received important international recognition, including prestigious design awards, reinforcing its position as a distinctive and forward-thinking system within the GUIALMI portfolio.
Today, we are giving LAYER a second life through a renewed approach to its reception counters. This re-styling preserves the essence of the original system while introducing new forms, configurations and material possibilities.
LAYER combines modularity, sophistication and versatility, providing an intelligent alternative to fully customised or bespoke solutions. Its architecture allows projects to be developed through a carefully conceived system of components, reducing production complexity while offering a high degree of design freedom.
The new collection explores both rectilinear and curved modules, creating different visual languages and spatial configurations. An extensive choice of materials — including wood veneer, melamine, metal and glass — further expands its possibilities, allowing LAYER to adapt to different environments, architectural concepts and levels of specification.
More than a re-styling, this is a new interpretation of an established GUIALMI system: a smarter, more versatile and contemporary LAYER, designed to meet the evolving demands of today’s workplace.
