So happy to welcome everyone to Tokyo 🇯🇵 for this year’s conference at Taisho University!

This edition is packed with energy and great work:

👉 9 workshops & hands-on sessions

It’s amazing to see how our community keeps growing — from the early days of ALE (since 2000) and PAEE (since 2009) to this incredible global gathering around active learning and project-based education.

🙌 Huge thanks to the local organizing team and Taisho University for making this happen.

And of course, the best part: catching up with old friends and meeting so many new ones!

Hoje temos uma notícia muito triste para partilhar. Faleceu o nosso grande amigo, coordenador geral do PAEE2012, Luiz Carlos de Campos, da PUC-SP. No meio desta tristeza vale recordar os momentos incríveis de amizade, colaboração e dedicação à Educação em Engenharia, ilustrados por algumas das fotos tiradas em São Paulo, Medellín, Eindhoven, San Sebastian ou Guimarães.
Os nossos sinceros sentimentos à família e amigos nesse momento de dor e saudade.

Today we have very sad news to share. Our great friend, chair of the PAEE2012, Luiz Carlos de Campos, from PUC-SP, passed away. In the midst of this sadness, it is worth remembering the incredible moments of collaboration and dedication to Engineering Education, illustrated by some of the photos taken in São Paulo, Medellín, Eindhoven, San Sebastian or Guimarães.
Our sincere condolences to the family and friends in this moment of pain and longing.
Luiz, you will always be with us!
