At BTH PDRL we do research and education within digital product/production development. Head is Professor Tobias Larsson.

The Product Development Research Laboratory is the research unit of Department of Mechanical Engineering. Research has been carried out in this field at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) since the start. The unit is active in research, education and collaboration, and is a specialized unit with in-depth knowledge on digital modelling and simulation. Our work is focused on activities that buil

d product/production development competence and support the development of innovative, sustainable products for the future sustainability society.

"Två veckor i juni där idéer tar fysisk form.

Future Builders Sommarprogram, 15–26 juni på BTH-campus, är ett intensivt program där ingenjörsstudenter får tid och verktyg att skapa något som faktiskt fungerar. Inte en case-studie. Inte en rapport. En riktig prototyp.

Bill Cockayne, Stanford-grundare av Foresight, mekanikingenjör i grunden, författare till Building Moonshots, är på plats hela programmet. Det här är inte mjukvaran-först-AI-överallt-programmet ni kanske hört om. Tillgång till 3D-printrar, riktiga problem från marin industri och försvarsteknik, och ett team som inte slutar i augusti.

Joacim Ottosson var ingenjörsstudent på Chalmers när han startade Heart Aerospace 2018. Idag bygger de Sveriges första helelektriska regionalflygplan. Han fick inte chansen att jobba med Stanford-metodik på campus. Det får ni.
