This Monday we held our Experiment Acceptance Review presentation and are happy to share that we received a conditional pass ✅

After the recent challenges with lost packages and damaged components, this was exactly the outcome we were hoping for. Now it is full steam ahead 🚀 as we keep pushing forward to finish our experiment!

Friday was full of twists and turns for the GLITCH team🎢. We were finally able to get our hand on a long-awaited package 📦🥳(better late than never! ) This kicked off a busy weekend for our software💻+electrical⚡️ teams.

Huge thanks to them for powering through!🙌

The mechanical team didn't suffer a great loss as Albin, Saga and Mathilda still remain. As for Adam, he will be missed mostly for his humor and good looks 🤭

The electrical team, our most equally diverse team, is now only two Swedes strong physically as Marco and Vikram also went to Aalto University to finish their studies. Luckily the internet connection between Finland and Sweden is very good so whenever Joel and Casper miss their teammates, they are just a quick Zoom call away. 😉

Our software team was very much Swedish, and is even more now that the only international student of the software team Matej left to finish his studies in Finland and Fredrik in Taiwan. Even though it is a tough loss, we feel confident that the swedish students Sebbe, Rasmus and Melker can finish the job well.

As the next semester is about to begin, and the launch campaign gets closer, we'd like to highlight all the talented people that have been working on the project. Sadly some of us have moved on to other Universities to finish their studies, but they are still essential part of the team and we wish them all the best in their future endeavors 😊

In the beginning of May, earlier this year, we in GLITCH had the great opportunity to attend the IAA Symposium on small satellites for Earth system observations in Berlin, Germany. Together with other projects, students and professors from LTU we met a lot of new companies and people within the space industry. We presented our REXUS/BEXUS student project, GLITCH, during a poster seminar and watched numerous other students and companies present their interesting work.

Happy midsummer from team GLITCH! As the days get shorter and the nights longer, the launch date gets closer. We still have a few milestones to achieve before launch, but luckily we have a great team working on the experiment in Kiruna over the summer, as well as everyone else working from wherever they are on what they can 🫶

The science team consisting of Ebba and Mathilda and can be seen as GLITCH’s research team. There latest tasks have been researching the importance of sunlight during the flight (will it make a difference?) and creating a poster as well as writing a paper for a symposium that they will attend next week.

It's important to rest every once in a while. Easter was a perfect time for our team memebers to take little break and recharge, which everyone did their own way, some with more traditional easter activities, others skied or played with excavators. Then there are the ones who really live by the saying "work hard, play hard" and rewind with bull riding 🤠
