It's time to celebrate our !

Every 29th May, the World Gastroenterology Organisation (WGO) / WGO Foundation celebrates World Digestive Health Day (WDHD). This year theme is "Gut Microbiome: A Global Perspective."
A healthy gut contributes to our gut health by communicating with our intestinal cells, digesting certain foods, and helping to prevent disease. A great way to keep a healthy gut microbiome and digestive health is by having a balanced and varied fiber-rich diet. So watch out what you are adding in your plates!

🦠It's Friyay! 🦠
To celebrate our , we prepared 4 different water kefir flavorings to share with you all: Seabuckthorn, Strawberry-Mint, Blueberry, and Passion-Ginger .
🍓🍍🍇Adding fruits and berries can be a great way to add up flavor (and bubbles) to your water kefir. After the first fermentation, strain the and transfer the kefir water to your clean, pressure-proof container. Add the fruits/ berries or other flavorings and let it ferment for extra 2-3 days.
🔸Sea Buckthorn: A great source of vitamins & minerals in a heady cocktail of antioxidants benefits! Seabuckthorn addition to fermented beverages enhance probiotic counts and significantly increase antioxidant activity. Studies have shown prebiotic potential for the whole fruit. You can add the whole fruit or a puree.
🔸Blueberry: Another antioxidant-favorite! One of the most nutrient-dense berries, high in fiber, vitamin k, and vitamin C. You can add the whole fruit or a puree.
🔸Strawberry-Mynt🍓: Refreshingly delicious flavor combo! Strawberries are an excellent source of vitamins C and K as well as providing a good dose of fiber, folic acid, manganese, and potassium. They also contain significant amounts of phytonutrients and flavonoids. Add crushed strawberries and the fresh mint (without stems) to the strained water kefir.
🔸Passion-Ginger: Passion fruit is rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and plant compounds that could benefit your health. Combined with ginger, it creates both a unique and flavor for your fermented drink.
What is your favorite water flavoring? 🤔 Share with us in the comments!
