Schaeffler operations in Korea, Japan, India and the countries in South East Asia-Pacific represent the Asia Pacific (AP) region which is managed from the regional headquarters in Singapore. With 9 manufacturing locations and research and development facilities at 8 locations, the AP organization ensures that customers in the Automotive and Industrial divisions are served rapidly with applic
ations specific to their needs. Schaeffler is actively strengthening the local manufacturing and engineering footprint in the AP region to meet the growing customer requirements of localization and application development. In South-East Asia, FAG started its first establishment as a representative office in Singapore in 1975. In just five short years, it was converted to a sales company – FAG South East Asia Pte Ltd. By early 1990 it widened its network in the region, setting up representative offices in Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines and Vietnam. In 1996, INA Bearings (Singapore) Pte Ltd was set up, followed by LuK Aftermarket Services and Barden UK representative office. PT Schaeffler Bearings Indonesia was established in 2005 with a representative office in Jakarta. Later in Singapore during 2005, INA, LuK Aftermarket and FAG offices came together under one roof in the same building and relocated, currently at the office in Tai Seng. The full legal integration to Schaeffler (Singapore) Pte Ltd took place in 2007. The Vietnam plant was inaugurated in 2008 with main production facilities for Tapered Roller Bearing (TRB) for the automotive aftermarket and industrial applications. The plant also started production of Radial Insert Ball Bearing (RIBB) in late 2010. Schaeffler India with 4 manufacturing plants, 3 R&D centers and 11 regional offices, caters to the Automotive, Industrial and Aftermarket divisions, it is well represented with all three product brands – LuK, INA and FAG. With an employee strength of nearly 3000 and combined revenue of INR 40 billion, it aims to strengthen our innovation and manufacturing base to meet customer demands and market needs of tomorrow.
