FOISON RESOURCES (SL) LIMITED SUCCESSFULLY CONDUCTS SURFACE RENT PAYMENTS IN BONTHE AND MOYAMBA DISTRICTS

Foison Resources (SL) Limited has successfully completed its 2026 surface rent payment exercises for Sogbini Chiefdom, Bonthe District, and Kongbora Chiefdom, Moyamba District, reaffirming the Company's commitment to fulfilling its statutory obligations and strengthening its partnership with host communities.

The surface rent payment exercise for Sogbini Chiefdom, Bonthe District, was conducted on Tuesday, 7th July 2026, at the Paramount Chief's compound in Tihun. Prior to the exercise, the Paramount Chief was duly informed of the scheduled payment. Although he was unable to attend due to other commitments outside the Chiefdom, he delegated representatives to witness the exercise alongside the affected landowners.

The Company subsequently conducted the surface rent payment exercise for Kongbora Chiefdom, Moyamba District, on Friday, 10th July 2026, at the Court Barray in Bauya. The exercise was witnessed by the District Officer (DO), the Local Unit Commander (LUC), a representative of the Office of National Security (ONS), the Paramount Chief, Section Chiefs, Town Chiefs, other Chiefdom stakeholders, and the affected landowners.

Both payment exercises were conducted peacefully, transparently, and efficiently, with beneficiaries receiving their respective surface rent payments in an orderly manner.

Foison Resources (SL) Limited expresses its sincere appreciation to the traditional authorities, government officials, security personnel, community stakeholders, and landowners for their cooperation and support, which contributed to the successful completion of the exercises.

FOISON RESOURCES SL LIMITED STRENGTHENS TRADITIONAL LEADERSHIP WITH SIX-MOTORBIKE DONATION TO JONG CHIEFDOM SECTION CHIEFS

Foison Resources SL Limited has reinforced its commitment to community development and responsible corporate citizenship through the donation of six motorbikes to six Section Chiefs in Jong Chiefdom, Bonthe District.

The presentation ceremony, held on 3 June 2026 at the Court Barray in Matru Jong, fulfilled a request made by the late Paramount Chief A. B. Sheriff, who had appealed to the company to enhance the mobility of Section Chiefs in the discharge of their duties across the chiefdom.

Presenting the motorbikes on behalf of the company, Public Relations Officer Maimunatu Bah described the occasion as another demonstration of Foison Resources' commitment to supporting local leadership and contributing to the development priorities of its host communities.

She emphasized the crucial role traditional leaders play in maintaining peace, unity, and social harmony, noting that the donation would strengthen their ability to effectively serve the people under their care. She further reaffirmed the company's dedication to building strong relationships with stakeholders and supporting initiatives that promote sustainable community development.

Receiving the motorbikes on behalf of the beneficiaries, the Chiefdom Speaker and Acting Paramount Chief of Jong Chiefdom, Francis Kpanabom, expressed profound gratitude to Foison Resources SL Limited for the gesture.

He commended the company for honoring the wish of the late Paramount Chief A. B. Sheriff and acknowledged its continued contribution to the progress of Jong Chiefdom. He noted that the motorbikes would greatly enhance the work of the Section Chiefs while preserving the legacy of the late Paramount Chief's vision for stronger traditional leadership.

Chief Kpanabom also assured the company of the chiefdom's continued cooperation and commitment to maintaining a peaceful and conducive environment for development and investment.

Foison Resources Launches Landmark Hospital Project in Mosavie Community

Foison Resources SL Limited has taken a major step in advancing community development with the official turning of the sod for a new standard hospital in Mosavie Community, Jong Chiefdom, Bonthe District. The ceremony, held on Monday, 30th March 2026, marks the beginning of a transformative initiative aimed at expanding access to quality healthcare services in the region.

The well-attended event brought together key stakeholders, including the District Medical Officer (DMO), Bonthe District, Brima Bopson Sesay; the District Health Sister, Christiana Elliott; and members of the District Health Management Team (DHMT). Also present were the Councillor, the District Youth Leader, the Town Chief of Mosavie Community, and other prominent community stakeholders, reflecting strong local support for the project.

Welcoming attendees, the Public Relations Officer of Foison Resources SL Limited, Maimunatu Bah, expressed appreciation for the impressive turnout and community backing. She described the project as a critical intervention that will significantly improve access to essential healthcare services for residents of Mosavie and surrounding communities.

The project also includes the construction of a self-contained staff quarters for the Community Health Officer (CHO), who will manage the facility. This is expected to enhance the availability and retention of skilled healthcare personnel within the community.

Additional components of the project include a water well, a kitchen, and external sanitation facilities, all of which will contribute to a safe, hygienic, and patient-friendly hospital environment.

This initiative forms part of Foison Resources SL Limited’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, which continues to prioritize improvements in healthcare and education across its operational communities.

Foison Resources Distributes Ramadan Food Items to Host Communities

Foison Resources SL Limited has successfully completed the distribution of Ramadan food items to several of its host communities as part of the company’s ongoing commitment to strengthening relationships and supporting local residents during the holy month of Ramadan.

The distribution exercise began in Semabu Village in Sogbini Chiefdom, Bonthe District, and concluded in Taninihun Village, Moyamba District. The initiative specifically targeted Muslim households, ensuring that families received essential food supplies to support them during the fasting period.

During the exercise, the company distributed over 300 bags of rice, 50 gallons of vegetable oil, 50 bags of onions, 50 bags of sugar, along with salt, Maggi cubes, and other cooking condiments.

In total, the donation reached eight communities across Bonthe and Moyamba Districts within the company’s operational areas.

The items were officially presented by the company’s Public Relations Officer, Maimunatu Bah, on behalf of the management of Foison Resources SL Limited. In her remarks, she stated that the donation was made as a gesture of goodwill and support to Muslim communities during the holy month of Ramadan, noting that the company remains committed to standing with its host communities during important religious periods.

To ensure transparency and fairness, the distribution was carried out in the presence of key Chiefdom and community stakeholders, including Section Chiefs and Town Chiefs, who helped coordinate the process and ensure that the items reached the intended beneficiaries.

The initiative was warmly received by residents, who expressed deep appreciation to the company’s management for the timely intervention during Ramadan.
