Nile Petroleum Corporation High-Level Delegation Visits Port Sudan.

PORT SUDAN –

A high-level delegation from Nilepet led by the Managing Director Hon. Emmanuel Athiei and senior management visited Port Sudan.

The visit focused on strengthening operational coordination with Petrolines for Crude Oil (PETCO) and Bashayer Pipeline Company (BAPCO).
The primary objective of the mission was to oversee and streamline the lifting of crude oil at the Bashayer Marine Terminals 1 & 2.
Nilepet leadership also engaged in technical reviews to ensure that lifting schedules remain on track, maintaining the steady flow of essential exports.

To enhance financial transparency, the delegation focused on establishing rigorous data-sharing protocols.
Both parties committed to providing detailed numerical reports on crude volumes to ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation between the corporations.

In a significant move towards fiscal stabilization, the parties reached a preliminary agreement regarding outstanding tariffs.
It was agreed in principle that PETCO will suspend the unilateral use of crude oil to offset outstanding tariffs.
This suspension will remain in effect while all parties engage in comprehensive negotiations to resolve pending financial matters.
The corporations have set a deadline for the end of April 2026 to finalize these discussions amicably.

This visit underscores Nile Petroleum Corporation’s commitment to collaborative partnerships and the professional management of South Sudan’s petroleum resources.
