STATEMENT ON MISLEADING ONLINE PUBLICATIONS REGARDING NILE PETROLEUM CORPORATION LEADERSHIP.

The Department of Public Relations and Corporate Affairs of Nile Petroleum Corporation (NILEPET) has noted with concern the recent dissemination of misleading and unverified information online targeting the leadership of the Institution.
NILEPET strongly condemns these malicious attempts to defame the Corporation’s leadership and mislead the public.
We urge the general public and media houses to refrain from sharing or circulating these unverified reports. The Corporation is currently consulting with relevant authorities and reserves the right to take legal action against individuals or entities found propagating false and defamatory rumors.
As the national oil and gas company of the Republic of South Sudan, NILEPET remains fully committed to its mandate of managing the nation’s oil and gas industry with the highest level of integrity, transparency, and professionalism.
NILEPET as a Government parastatal mandated to oversee the exploration, production and distribution of petroleum products across the country would like to reassure our stakeholders and the general public that our Downstream Division is fully operational and continues to ensure the uninterrupted supply of high-quality, affordably priced fuel, lubricants, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) to meet the energy needs of our citizens.
