Düz dişliler güç aktarımında yüksek verimlilik sağlarlar. Doğru bir şekilde
tasarlandıklarında, enerji kaybı minimum düzeydedir. Ayrıca, düz dişlilerin üretimi ve montajı genellikle diğer dişli tiplerine göre daha kolaydır.

Planet dişliler daha küçük bir giriş gücüyle daha büyük bir çıkış gücü elde edilmesini sağlar. Karmaşık bir tasarıma ve üretim sürecine ihtiyaç duyarlar.Ayrıca, yüksek hassasiyet gerektiren bir montaj süreci vardır.

Spur gears provide high efficiency in power transfer. When designed correctly,energy loss is minimal. Additionally spur gears are generally easier to manufacture and assemble than other gear types.

Planetary gears enables a larger output power to be obtained with a smaller input power. They require a complex design and manufacturing process.Additionally there is an assembly process that requires high precision.
