【Blooms in the wind】 Process of making
Blooms in the wind is built mostly with steel , acrylic and leds. It consists of 30 spinning unitsand each unit has 3 acrylic air wings. The design of the spinning unit is very complex, it mustrotate freely to avoid entanglement of the wires and at the same time maintain the stability ofthe structure. In addition to being able to rotate in the direction of the wind and the motor, thestreamline design of the acrylic blade also has a bowl-like shape at the end. The effect ofacrylic to undertake light is particularly remarkable, the blades emit colored light according tothe local wind speed, showing the posture of the wind vividly.
《花飛花》的形式靈感來自植物的花瓣與旋翼結構。整體由三十個旋轉單元組成，每個單元包含三片壓克力葉片，末端微微彎曲成碗狀，以便承接光與氣流。當風掠過裝置時，葉片隨之旋轉，壓克力的導光特性讓光沿著它流動，形成一種柔軟而具有生命感的光影變化。
作品以風速感測器作為主要互動介面，風速的數據會即時轉換成光的顏色。民眾能在體驗中彷彿成為風的一部分，也象徵人類力量在自然循環中的介入。與作品互動的過程不僅是一場感官的遊戲，更是一種哲學的提問。當人為力量進入自然系統時，它會成為推動還是干擾？作品沒有給出答案，而是邀請每一位參與者去感受、去思考這份共生關係的界線與可能。
