Our Business Lab Director, Larry Ayo, recently attended a BootCamp as part of the Mawimbi. This initiative, led by INCO and supported by Fondation Botnar and TangaYetu, focuses on empowering youth through innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration.

Its goal is to enhance Tanga's entrepreneurship ecosystem by aiding local organizations, thus increasing the region's attractiveness to external stakeholders.

Tanzania's entrepreneurial ecosystem is experiencing significant growth. In the third quarter of 2024, Tanzanian startups attracted US$43 million in funding, ranking the country third in Africa for investments, alongside Egypt and Kenya.

This demonstrates the growing support for entrepreneurship and the positive influence of programs like Mawimbi in driving and economic growth. The Mawimbi Program and similar initiatives are vital in connecting young innovators with the skills and networks they need to succeed, contributing to the evolution of Tanzania's entrepreneurial landscape.

As Tanzania's innovation landscape grows, it is crucial to support initiatives that empower the next generation of changemakers.
