Euro Gold Refinery Visits Yumbe District Local Government

News:

Yesterday 13th Feb 2026, Euro Gold Refinery Ltd (EGR) Team headed by C.E.O, Mr. Benard Feni paid a courtesy visit to Yumbe District Local Government & were received by Mr. Deajiga Rasul, The Principal Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Irania Patrick, The Assistant Resident District Commissioner, Mr. Kawawa Serbeet, The District Natural Resources Officer, Mr. Driwale Geofrey, The LC III Chairman of Odravu West & SP Okema Marvin, The Zonal Commander, Minerals Police in the Office of the LC 5 Chairman who was represented by the Vice Chair Mr. Kayia Linus.

In his speech, Principal Chief Administrative Officer welcomed EGR to Yumbe District & urged them to ensure the operations benefits the communities & ensure all environmental mitigation measures are taken into consideration.

The District Vice Chair emphasized on corporation & coordination between EGR & the District further urging EGR to work within the law

In Response, The EGR team leader thanked the leadership of Yumbe District for warmly welcoming EGR in the district since it started carrying out its activities.

He also gestured on EGR being the only Ugandan owned company whose operations are in Yumbe is going to be aimed at developing & growing the communities within west nile region as a whole through employment opportunities & Corporate Social Responsibilities

He lamented that, the coming of EGR into mining in Yumbe District which will last for at least 20 years is going to give opportunities as over 1,000 skilled & non-skilled will be employment both directly & indirectly in different sectors.

Mr. Benard Concluded by saying that, Euro Gold Refinery Ltd has followed all the legal procedures in its activities & Works within the law.
