⛏️🏗️Building a rainwater drainage system and sewerage network for our mall in Mbarara 👌

Building a rainwater drainage system and sewerage network for a large mall requires precise planning and the selection of a suitable site to ensure design efficiency and avoid future issues. Initially, the site is chosen based on a comprehensive feasibility study that includes analyzing water flow, soil characteristics, and ground level to prevent accumulation and erosion in the surrounding area. It is preferable to select a relatively low-lying area to facilitate the flow of water away from the foundations.
In terms of construction, the work begins with digging trenches according to the engineering design, ensuring the walls are reinforced with support beams and wood to prevent collapse. Reinforced drainage pipes, typically made of concrete or high-quality plastic, are installed and carefully connected to prevent leaks. Next, concrete molds are formed around the pipes to enhance stability, followed by pouring the concrete and allowing it to dry. Finally, the area is covered with a layer of soil or gravel, with maintenance access points left open. This process ensures effective drainage that protects the mall from floods and extends the lifespan of the infrastructure.
