Crappy AI flyers are free, annoying, ugly and won’t last forever (I hope) — but you know what isn’t like that? 👉🏽 end-grain cutting boards! I only have three available (natural maple, walnut, and white oak) so message me to get one before they’re gone.

I asked my family what sound a CNC machine makes. Be honest… who nailed it? 😂

What’s your favorite: 👉🏾 Walnut? 👉🏼 White Oak?

End-grain cutting boards aren’t just beautiful—they’re built to last! 🪵 The wood fibers stand vertically, allowing your knife to slip between them rather than cutting across them. This helps reduce visible knife marks, keeps your knives sharper longer, and allows the board to recover from minor cuts. The result? A durable, knife-friendly cutting surface that looks as good as it performs!

💍🎁 Watch how I made my NEW most favorite thing ever! A set of mid century modern night stands, featuring fluted fronts and brass pulls; but most importantly they’re built to last forever as a gift to my favorite newlywed couple!

😬 Confession (PART 1): I’m a woodworker but our family cutting board looks like a $3 broken boat paddle. 🤦🏼‍♂️ Check back for Part 2 to see the upgrade! 🔜

These custom night stands are my newlywed gift to a special couple that tied the knot just over a month ago. Inspired by the final picture, (swipe all the way to the end) I reverse engineered these to feature fluted fronts, golden oak stained maple bodies, maple drawers, Blum USA under mount soft close drawer slides, brass finger pulls, and lots of rounded corners to complete the mid century modern design.

Where do you park your nicest kitchen appliances? In an appliance garage, of course!

This project was a blast to design as a solution that is truly custom and unique in every sense of the word. This style of cabinet was something we hadn’t seen before and couldn’t even find an example of anywhere on the internet. Most “appliance garage” designs require a triangle shape cabinet with a roll up door. In this case, the goal was to maintain the “L” shape of the interior corner from the upper cabinets and build it in so it looked like it’s always been there. To make room for the KitchenAid mixer to be pulled out and used, we chose specialty hinges that swing a whopping 170 degrees. And because of the closing action of the doors, recessed finger pulls were installed to create a functional and sleek appearance with a tight gap which wouldn’t have been possible with regular k***s.

To top things off, the sides were trimmed out and doors styled to resemble the existing cabinetry. The only thing missing is a push-button automatic garage door opener. 😅

If a piece of furniture had eyes, this honey locust dining table could admire the spot just outside the window where it once grew from a young sapling to a towering tree.

What’s your favorite feature in this kitchen remodel? The star of the entire show might be those multi-textured “champaign” colored door and drawer pulls! Or maybe it’s the farmhouse sink?

It’s been such a fun week installing these cabinets as part of a larger full house remodel. The cabinets were ordered from the local “big box” store and came custom painted — a nice economical option that should stand up for a long time.
