At the beginning of the year, I was contacted by a representative from Easter Seals Iowa, who requested a quote for a structure to be built over a feed bunk. The project aimed to provide support to a gentleman who was facing medical issues and required assistance with feeding his cattle. Easter Seals Iowa and the Iowa Department for the Blind collaborated to install an automatic feeder, which needed a covered structure for the feed tube. We designed and constructed a 36’x 6’ mono roof to meet this requirement. It was a humbling experience to speak with the gentleman and hear about the challenges he has faced recently, while continuing to manage his daily tasks as a cattleman. I would like to express my gratitude to all parties involved for entrusting us with this project. Hopefully, this structure will make his daily tasks slightly easier. I would also like to thank Lathrop and Sons Supply in Albia for donating some of the pipe for this project. Their support is greatly appreciated.
