For another year, Moses J. Michelsohn, pecosvalleydiamond on iNaturalist.org , recorded the most species during our City Nature Challenge this year with 384 species!

45% of his finds were insects and arachnids, which shows how closely Moses looked for observations.

Join us tomorrow 10-1 at the to identify together before Sunday's deadline! Check in at the table out front and follow signs back to the education classroom. There will be snacks.

We've got half of our observations to research grade- how much higher can we get? And can we ID 27 more species to get to 1,500?

Or just keep on identifying all you can on your own! Thank you to 542 of you who have so far 😮

Have you gotten on to iNaturalist.org yet to help us ID? Do so thru this Sunday, May 10th!

Help us with the half of our observations that still need to be identified or confirmed, so we can up our species count and provide "research grade" data to scientists.

Head to our Identify page and filter for what you want to focus on or browse them all:

Join iNaturalist.org in this Arthropod Identification webinar on Monday at 10am, or register to receive the recording if you can't join live, to learn how you can help make identifications on iNaturalist (arthropod or otherwise) for our City Nature Challenge observations and beyond, even if you're not an expert.

Rather than doomscroll on social media, you can positively contribute to improving our knowledge about biodiversity!
