In late 2017, I sat down with Andreas Grosser and Eckehard Dux to discuss a shared vision: creating a microphone that could stand on its own merits. We were united by a single goal—to develop an entirely new design that met our highest standards, rivalling the best vintage and modern microphones available today. After months of intensive development, the M1 is the result of that collaboration.

It was a busy week last week at Myburgh HQ. We shipped lots of M1s to new homes worldwide, while also focusing on the first batch of M28s.

The M1 is not fussy about what instrument it records. Every M1 owner we speak to has a favourite instrument they like to use it on, and these instruments vary immensely. If you would like to hear why, contact your local dealer or get in touch with us directly. 💙
