Water quality doesn’t start in the lab — it starts in the field.
Most people think water testing begins by filling a bottle and sending it off for analysis. But the truth is, the most important part often happens before the sample ever reaches a lab.
Rainfall patterns, stormwater runoff, algae growth, nearby fertilizer use, erosion, pond retention systems, and surrounding land use all tell part of the story.
At Overland Water & Soil Sciences, we focus on understanding the full environmental picture first—because better observations lead to better answers.
Whether it’s an HOA retention pond, private lake, creek system, residential well, or commercial property, field science helps identify what’s really happening beneath the surface.
That’s why water quality starts long before the lab.
