The Ross Fire has grown into one of North Texas' largest wildfires since igniting Aug. 24 in Palo Pinto and Jack counties. Fire, emergency, and volunteer teams have been working tirelessly around the clock to contain the flames.

To support these incredible relief efforts, AFISCO stepped in to donate essential supplies, including water, gloves, and hydration supplies for the crews on the front lines.

Our thoughts and deepest gratitude remain with everyone fighting these fires, the volunteers offering aid, and all the families and communities affected by this devastation.

You know Ray as a dedicated member of the AFISCO family for over 37 years, but there is a lot more to him than just outside sales expertise. Here are some fun facts about Ray that might surprise you:

Ray has been married to his junior high sweetheart, Teddi, for nearly 44 years. This summer marks exactly 50 years since she started tracking the "Top 10 Dumbest Things He's Ever Done." If you ask Ray what made #1, he’ll gladly tell you.

If Teddi says, “I have an idea…” Ray already knows where to find his tools. From chicken coops and bake stands to greenhouses, pickleball courts, home remodels, and unforgettable Poppa & Grammy Camp adventures, Ray has a way of turning “what if we…” into “look what I built.”

When Ray isn’t building something, he’s probably busy hanging out with his family. As a dad of five and Poppa to nine grandkids, he spends just as much time creating memories as he does building things, with dance parties, pickleball games, Mahjong battles, and pool days all part of the fun.

Whether he’s making memories with his grandkids or looking out for our customers, Ray is a family man through and through. We are incredibly lucky to have him as a core part of our AFISCO family for nearly four decades!

With the help of AFISCO team members Ramiro and Rodney, we distributed essential school supplies to IDX employees for their families. IDX has been a valued AFISCO partner for more than a decade, and we're grateful for the opportunity to support the people behind that partnership.
