Duda|Paine Architects recently announced the Center for Health & Wellbeing in Winter Park, Florida, received the American Institute of Architects Healthcare Design Award. The national award highlights projects with conceptual strength that solve civic, urban, social and sustainability concerns associated with a healthcare setting. Waveguide provided acoustical consulting for the project. Congratulations to Duda|Paine and our acoustics principal Michael SantaMaria!

Waveguide's project work is earning recognition in California. Our collaborations with architects and owners create some really beautiful and highly functional buildings.

We were pleased to see our work with SOM on Loyola Marymount University’s new School of Film and Television building (shown here) was recently awarded a merit award by the 2022 AIA CA Design Awards jury. Our California-based project team and Atlanta-based design team worked together with SOM to create this gorgeous facility.

Waveguide’s AV consulting and design services helped win the project points for Design for Economy, with the jury remarking, “The dense audiovisual teaching program with its typical high energy demand and cooling requirements, was offset by a sustainable building envelope, passive cooling strategies and optimized mechanical systems which yielded a very high performing, yet cost effective, building.”

Waveguide's President Scott Walker recently sat down with Gary Kayye at the rAVe Agency for the fourth episode of The Meeting Equity Podcast by Barco Clickshare. They discussed what Waveguide is doing to help companies and educational institutions reimagine and redesign their spaces to ensure all meeting participants’ experience is equitable – whether they are working in the office or remotely.
