--Beyond the Final Whistle--
What Goodie FC Built During the Summer of Soccer
For a few weeks this summer, the world’s attention turned to the A.
Founders, creators, community leaders, brands, and innovators all found themselves in the same place, brought together by one of the biggest global sporting events.
For many, it was about what happened inside the stadium.
For us, it was about everything happening outside of it.
Because once the matches end and the crowds head home, what remains are the relationships built along the way.
That was the idea behind Goodie FC.
Not to host events for the sake of hosting events, but to create opportunities for people to meet with purpose.
Over the course of the initiative, Goodie FC brought together over 1,500 dope people across multiple states through 25+ community dinners, two Goodie Nation Houses, fireside chats, workshops, office hours, virtual sessions, watch parties, match viewings, and a private event.
But that’s only part of the story.
The other half is what happened in the room.
Across every event, conversations sparked new ideas, collaborations, and introductions.
Everyone was answering the same question:
How do we make sure this moment leaves us stronger than we found it?
The answer wasn’t another event.
It was another introduction.
Another conversation.
Another follow-up.
Because that’s how communities grow.
Attendees told us they met people they never would have crossed paths with otherwise, reconnected with old friends, discovered new collaborators, and experienced what happens when intentional spaces are built for connection.
Goodie FC was never meant to end with the final whistle.
It was designed to create momentum that lasts long after the tournament.
The World Cup gave us a global moment.
The people who showed up turned it into something bigger.
And that story is still being written.
