Suncoast Geosystems, Inc. was founded in 2019 to serve clients and customers in Florida and the Southeast with innovative, geosynthetic solutions for water resources, management, and infrastructure projects. Suncoast Geosystems is a specialty construction company that focuses on water and geosynthetic solutions, and strives to be on the cutting edge of innovative products, installation techniques, and technical knowledge. Whether installing a bank stabilization system on a golf course, lining a county's effluent storage pond, or repairing an eroded slope or channel in a commercial or residential development, Suncoast Geosystems will find the best technical solution to solve the problem - the first time.
Suncoast Geosystems was founded by Andy Durham, P.E., who serves as the company's president. Andy grew up in Tallahassee, FL, and is a 1997 graduate of Georgia Tech with a Bachelor's of Civil Engineering. Andy spent 14+ years in civil engineering consulting throughout the southeastern U.S., managing projects in solid waste, water / wastewater treatment, site development, and stormwater management. Andy spent another 7+ years in the sales, marketing, and product management of innovative, manufactured geosynthetics for containment and erosion control. Andy served as a board member for the Geosynthetic Materials Association and the Fabricated Geomembrane Institute, and has obtained professional engineering licenses (P.E.) in four states.
Andy combines a unique combination of applications engineering with technical expertise in geosynthetic solutions. Andy has managed the design and installation of thousands of square feet of geosynthetics for bank stabilization, erosion control, levee armoring, slope repair, pond lining, landfill covers, and much more.
