I was in the mood for a really good sandwich, and came up with this turkey Reuben with a Mississippi twist!

To make - toast rye bread until crispy and pile on the turkey, sauerkraut and provolone or Swiss cheese. Lay open-faced on a baking sheet and broil until cheese is melted. Drizzle Mississippi-made comeback sauce on top, close the sandwich and enjoy!

Wait - what is comeback sauce, you ask? It is like a tangy version of thousand island that is native to Mississippi. We will put it on anything or even eat it with plain saltine crackers.

Aren’t local? Here is how you make it:

1 cup lite mayo 1/4 cup ketchup
1 tbsp Sriracha sauce
1 tsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tsp hot sauce (I use Crystal)
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
Pepper, to taste
Juice of 1/2 a lemon

Kicking Off Summer with Sunshine, Pool Time, and the Perfect Fruit Pizza!

💙❤️ We’re soaking up the sunshine and diving into the long weekend with our favorite people, and this festive fruit pizza is the ultimate sweet treat to celebrate the season!

Fruit Pizza Ingredients:

1 pint strawberries, thinly sliced
1 cup fresh blueberries
1 roll refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 block cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup apple jelly

Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly coat a small baking sheet with Baker’s Joy or nonstick spray.

Let the cookie dough soften at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Break it into pieces and press evenly into the prepared pan, covering the entire surface.

Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden and cooked through. Allow to cool for 30 minutes.

While it cools, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl until smooth.

Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled cookie crust, then decorate with strawberries and blueberries in a fun, festive pattern.

Whisk the apple jelly until smooth and gently brush over the fruit to add a beautiful glaze.

Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.

Perfect for Memorial Day, Fourth of July, or any sunny get-together!

The bleacher years are loud and busy and exhausting and beautiful all at once. And I already know one day I’ll miss every single minute of them. 💙

Anyone in charge of “something sweet” for end-of-the-year parties? I made these cute little snacks for Bowen’s 2nd grade class earlier this year, and they ate them up! I may not be a room mom, but I am a heck of a snack maker 🤣🧡

Just cut the tops off of individual bags and add in mini marshmallows and broken bars! These took about 5 minutes and are so fun and yummy!
