From completely compromised to structurally sound. 🛠️⚡
Swipe to see the process of saving this pool patio awning support post. The base was severely rusted out, posing a major safety hazard.
Here’s how we tackled it:
1️⃣ Jacked up and safely secured the load.
2️⃣ Cut out the corroded section back to clean, solid metal.
3️⃣ Prepped, aligned, and welded in a heavy-duty new steel extension and base plate.
4️⃣ Ground the welds smooth and applied a rust-inhibiting primer.
5️⃣ Finished it off with a clean coat of paint matching the original post, ready for the new stonework to be completed around it.
