Winter Storm 2026: Behind the Scenes of 36 Hours

Behind every "mission accomplished" is the story of how it happened.

This photo album captures 36+ hours of snow operations during the 2nd largest snowfall in the Baltimore region in 10 years.

11.1 inches of snow. Followed by freezing rain. Through the night. Through exhaustion. Through conditions that shut down most of Maryland.

1,200 crew members. 190 commercial properties. Residential communities. Distribution centers. Office complexes. Penn Station. Warehouses. Neighborhoods.

Our photographer captured the moments you didn't see:
→ Early morning crews at Penn Station as snow fell
→ Indoor warehouse operations
→ Residential neighborhood hand crews
→ Equipment coordination across the city
→ The people who made Monday morning possible

Every business that opened Monday. Every employee who got to work. Every customer who was served. It happened because these people didn't stop.

This is Snow Removers. This is SBC Outdoor Services.

36 hours of this. So Monday can happen. ✅

BWI official: 11.1 inches of snow + freezing rain
2nd largest snowfall in 10 YEARS
Only the 2016 Blizzard (29.2") was bigger

Saturday 11 PM → 1,200 crew deployed
36 hours → Record snow + freezing rain + ice
Monday morning → 200 facilities open for business ✅

This is what it took. Indoor facilities. Outdoor lots. Every detail.

Through the 2nd biggest storm in a decade. Through freezing rain. Through exhaustion.

They finished the job.

Soon distribution centers will be shipping. Offices will be welcoming teams. Retail serving customers.

All because our crews didn't stop.

This is Snow Removers. 🚜❄️

Respect to every crew member - many still out there right now finishing final touches. Baltimore is open today because of you.

You see that Natty Boh tower through the snow? 🍺🦀

That’s Baltimore. That’s home.

20 hours ago, we deployed across this city. 200 properties. 1,200 crew members. The biggest storm in years hitting our neighborhoods, our businesses, our home.

Right now, most of Maryland is shut down. But tomorrow morning, the commercial facilities we manage across Baltimore will open. Ready for business.

Because we’ve been working through the night to make it happen.

In 4 hours, we hit 24 consecutive hours of operations. Freezing rain coming to an end. Crews are exhausted. Conditions are deteriorating.

But when you’re from Baltimore, you don’t quit on your city.

You finish the job. No matter what.

This is our city. This is our crews. This is what partnership looks like.

Baltimore strong. Snow Removers strong. 💙🚜❄️

Different property, same dedication. 💪

This is a residential development in Baltimore. While our commercial crews clear business parks and office complexes, other teams are working residential communities and mixed-use developments.

200 properties across Maryland. Commercial. Residential. Mixed-use.

Our hand crews understand that each property type has different needs:
→ Commercial: Operational access for business
→ Residential: Safe walkways for families
→ Developments: Community areas and common spaces

17 hours in. Multiple crews. Multiple property types. One standard of excellence.

This is complete snow management. This is Snow Removers. ❄️🚜

What the machines can't reach. 💪

Hand crews working the details in a Baltimore city development.

Sidewalks. Entrances. Tight corners. Steps. Around obstacles. The finishing touches that make properties truly operational.

14 hours in. Our crews are still grinding - equipment operators AND hand crews working together.

This is the difference between cleared and FINISHED.

200 properties. Complete service. Professional ex*****on.

Meet Ron - one of our site managers preparing for last night's storm deployment.

"Welcome to Baltimore. Here's what we're expecting over the next two days."

10 hours later: Our 1,200 crew members are grinding through exactly what Ron predicted across 200 Maryland properties.

This is the professionalism behind commercial snow management. Preparation. Leadership. Ex*****on.

Site managers like Ron coordinate crews, manage equipment deployment, and ensure every property stays operational - no matter what Mother Nature brings.
