Don't hesitate to get a second opinion. Not for the purpose of disproving someone else, but for the purpose of getting a second pair of eyes on a situation. 20 dollars trip charge and time and material. No minimum time charge. If I'm there 1/2 hour, then you'll be charged 30 bucks at a rate of 60 per hour.

If your furnace is making concerning noises it might not hurt just to get an inspection. My furnace inspections are 50 dollars. Remember as always if a part needs to be replaced you'll pay for the part at my cost as well as time and material.

Some furnaces drain water as a part of their combustion process. If the drainage pipe gets blocked it could cause a no heat situation and damage to your furnace.

Average capacitor change is approximately 200. With me the part is about 10 bucks and the labor is about 15 minutes. Time, material, and trip charge you're looking at ballpark 50-65 bucks with me.
