We’re Hiring! Enterprise GIS Program Manager – NY/NJ Area

PDBM Consulting is seeking a highly experienced Enterprise GIS Program Manager to support a major public agency in the New York / New Jersey region.

We are looking for a senior GIS professional with 10+ years of progressively responsible experience leading enterprise GIS programs, including strong expertise in:

• Enterprise GIS strategy, governance, architecture, and modernization
• Esri Enterprise technologies (ArcGIS Enterprise)
• Enterprise spatial databases and geospatial data governance
• Integration of GIS with EAM systems such as IBM Maximo and/or Infor
• BIM, CAD, LiDAR, and GIS integration workflows
• Cloud-based GIS architecture and enterprise system integration
• GIS automation and ETL tools, including FME Enterprise
• Integration with platforms such as Power BI, Bentley, PeopleSoft, and other enterprise systems
• Large-scale infrastructure environments (transportation, aviation, ports, rail, bridges, etc.)

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid – 4 days onsite / 1 day remote)
Start Date: August 31, 2026

Today, I had the great honor of being welcomed at Zurich Airport (ZRH), the largest and busiest international airport in Switzerland, with more than 33 million passengers expected in 2026.

Zurich Airport is currently advancing a major multi-year capital improvement program that includes a new control tower, the replacement of Dock A, expansion of landside passenger areas, modernization of the baggage handling system, and the development of new cargo and terminal facilities to further enhance capacity and operations.

We had an excellent conversation with Roman Wildenauer, Head of Digital Real Estate within the Property & Portfolio Management Department, about how a strong Digital Twin strategy can support long-term operations and maintenance (O&M).

Under the leadership of Roman Wildenauer, Zurich Airport is embracing digital transformation and leveraging technology throughout the design and construction phases to ensure valuable project and asset data is captured, structured, and prepared to support future operations.

It was great to be back in New York last week. It was a busy few days full of meetings, but most importantly, it was a great opportunity to reconnect with friends and colleagues across the industry.

There is something truly energizing about spending time with people you admire, exchanging ideas, sharing perspectives, and continuing to build the relationships that move our industry forward.
