Springtime is definitely my favorite time of year! I just wish it would last longer. We are just getting started on a new pond for a client on this beautiful ranch. They’ve been having bad erosion issues on the lower ends of their property, and this pond should solve a lot of of that by slowing the water down and also diverting it to a different area of the property. Can’t wait to see the end results on this one.

Finished out sub-grade today… concrete guys can now take over. The guys got this one dialed and looks great. The pictures don’t do it justice at all. They did pretty good for this black gumbo clay!

I seriously can’t wait to get one of these new 285XE machines on one our jobs! The little bit that I got to run it up here in Peoria, I was blown away with it performance.

A few Specs on this machine are:
-brand new clean slate design
-new CAT 134HP C3.6TA (turbo/aftercooled)
-3500lbs heavier than the 299D3XE
-rear auxiliary hydraulics for rippers or winch or whatever you want to fabricate for the back.
-And all new equalizer bar style undercarriage (just like a dozer). Helps a lot with dipping while grading.
-substantial lift height increase for loading trucks over a 299D3XE. (almost 20 inches.)
-massive operator station
-way easier maintenance access and greasing points in the D3 series.

When the time is right, I will definitely be going for one of these with the business. Totally outstanding machine!

Now that all this rain is out of the way we are making headway on the rough grading at our Bastrop project and are getting are final grade ready for to pave out phase one of our rv park in Belton for . Hopefully it will be black by next Wednesday. I thank God for these jobs and the ones already lined up after these!

Sharing this journey with my dad is one of the best things i could have asked for.

His wisdom and knowledge that he is passing down to me to hopefully one day pass down to my son.

Soaking it all up. God has been great to me and this family.

Looking forward to the future of this company as more and more jobs are coming in.

This RV park project in Belton for is really starting to take shape. It’s really a neat perspective on how the job is progressing. Concrete going down on one side and subgrade being prepped on the other. This job would be a nightmare without GPS. So many different sections of line work and grades. We are blessed to have this work!
