Test and tune day one of the 125 ton comfort chiller. Custom built by a marine chiller company,
The start up engineer Vito was setting up the Seimans PLC controller for stage #1. The system, stage #1 of two , now has 50 tons of cooling is now in service. Tomorrow stage two set up and testing . The unit is a split type chiller with refrigeration in the mechanical room along with an eight fan stages within the condenser coil on the roof. HVACR is an athletic sport for the young.. ladders up, tools up, ladders again, sloped roof , doing your repair thing ,,,,,then undo what you brought up with you to the roof. Did you forget something from the truck or left a tool on the roof ?

Retrospect of a 50 year HVACR career , no regrets. After being told college was where I should go for a career, I tried it and hated it. I left college after a year, so while figuring it out, I drove a school bus and flipped burgers at Bobs Big Boy. Between working jobs, I also joined the local volunteer fire department. One morning I woke up from bed wondering why the window unit was iced up. So to get an answer, I took a trip to pennsauken NJ to look into a technicial school, Ryder Tech.....which the class after mine it became Lincoln Tech. I graduated , #2 in my class because #1 guy was a severe brown nose case.

It was a great decision, and I suggest anyone to consider the trades if you want to put in time climb the ladder and pave your road green.
