Ever wonder how your thermostat sends signals to make your house hot or cold?

The wiring diagram shown below communicates with your indoor and outdoor units to tell them when to turn on and turn off!

Your condenser does not know the temperature inside the house nor does it shut itself off at a certain temperature, the thermostat is the essential piece to the puzzle to regulate the temperatures in the house.

You can also use this diagram to wire up a new thermostat! (Note: not all thermostats are the same. Some require less wires, some require more. Please refer to your thermostat model number to know what type you require.)
