CARPENTER

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Able to read and understand blueprints, sketches and personal direction
• Being safety minded for self and others on the crew
• Complete assigned task in a timely manner
• Using conventional, power and specialty tools properly
• Must understand math functions and calculations involving fractions.
• Perform and coordinate the precise cutting, shaping, and installation of building materials and lumber needed to build commercial and residential buildings.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., such as framing lumber, sheets of plywood, and other building materials.
• Assist in construction, installing and repairing structures and fixtures.
• Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Performs any and all carpentry needs on site.
• Erect walls, set floor and roof trusses.
• Installation of doors, windows, hardware, and specialty components per manufacturer specifications.
• Fit and install trim items.
• Ability to travel between multiple job sites within the north central Ohio area
• Works with Site Foreman/ Superintendent on deliverables, schedule, and manpower needs.
• Position could lead to a Site Foreman/ Superintendent Position
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction industry
• Punctual and reliable with excellent work ethic
• Good communication skills and presentation
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Communicates well with co-workers, subcontractors and owners.
• Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs.
• Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities.
• Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.
• Must have valid driver's license and reliable means of transportation.
SALARY:
• Excellent pay, variable depending on skills and experience
