If your instruments aren't designed for CIP/SIP, your next cleaning cycle might be their last. General purpose pressure and level devices often survive aggressive cleaning cycles - until drift, failures, and tough audit questions follow.

NOSHOK's 20, 25, and 30 Series sanitary transmitters are built for CIP/SIP service: meeting the requirements for 3-A and ASME-BPE, with active temperature compensation that keeps readings stable through hot cleaning cycles. One dairy plant reported a 4-6% improvement in inventory accuracy after switching.

Most data center teams obsess over chiller efficiency – but ignore the health of the instruments feeding the BMS.

Every efficiency initiative starts with the same question: “Can we safely raise setpoints or reduce flow?” But if your pressure, level, and temperature transmitters are drifting, poorly located, or overspec’d, the data behind that decision can’t be trusted.

We often find:
- Instruments installed where they’re easy to reach, not where they give the best signal
- Ranges 2–3× higher than the actual operating window, killing resolution
- Devices that were never designed for today’s liquid cooling chemistries or temperature swings

The result is conservative setpoints “just to be safe” – and capacity and energy savings left on the table.

When instrumentation design and verification are tightened up, operations teams gain the confidence to run closer to optimal temperatures without increasing risk. That’s where meaningful PUE improvements come from.

When was the last time your team reviewed where and how cooling instruments are installed, not just whether they pass a quick check?

You can’t optimize what you can’t trust – especially at custody transfer and other critical measurement points.

Tiny errors in pressure and level measurement at custody transfer or key process points can translate into large financial discrepancies over time.

We see operations dealing with:
- Instruments that no longer match the current operating envelope
- Seal fill fluids or materials misaligned with new process conditions
- Inconsistent calibration and verification practices across sites

The result is a constant debate about which numbers to believe – and a lot of time spent reconciling data instead of running the asset.

Standardizing on instruments designed for your actual service, and aligning ranges and seals with those conditions, makes it much easier to defend your numbers with partners, auditors, and regulators.

If you had to pick one measurement point in your operation where absolute accuracy matters most, which would it be?
