Data Science Society at Berkeley Data Science Society at Berkeley aims to create a community to discuss, to learn and to explore data

Data Science Society is UC Berkeley's first student-run, not-for-profit organization focused on data science and its interdisciplinary applications. Since our founding in 2016, we have united students from a wide range of disciplines behind our shared love for all things data. Our mission is to foster a strong data science community on campus. Each semester, we focus on developing educational lear

ning experiences like our technical workshops and 2-unit university decal course to expand data science education on campus, host professional events for students to connect with industry leaders and grow their network, and conduct analytics consulting projects with top tech companies to help members gain experience and make an impact. We aim to build an inclusive and accessible community where students of all levels and backgrounds can dive into the world of data science.

⭐️ Here’s some more information about our upcoming recruitment timeline. ⭐️

Reminder that our coffee chats ☕️ are officially open (dssberkeley.org/coffeechat) and that we will be tabling on campus near Sproul from 8/26-9/05, so make sure to stop by or reach out to us personally!

Beyond that, we will also be hosting our own Infosession, Data bytes, and participating in clubs and cookies. These are all great ways to learn more about what we do, our values, and our club as a whole.

Curious about getting involved in a data science club but not sure where to start? We invite you to the fifth installment of Data Bytes, Berkeley’s cross-club data science infosession! This is the spot to meet every major DS organization on campus in one room.
Swing by Hearst Field Annex A1 at 8 PM this Friday, August 28th, to learn more about these amazing orgs during our underrepresented minority panel, where you’ll hear from members across our clubs about their experiences. Then, at 8:30, our clubs will take the floor and show you exactly what they’re about. Finally, we’ll have a networking session afterward, so be sure to stick around 🤩
