Good morning! Epsilon Pi, the Engineering Physics honor society, is hosting an alumni panel tomorrow, Wednesday October 28th from 7-9PM PT. The alumni will talk about their experiences at grad school and beyond. Attendees include:
* Dr Brooke Lai, a manager at Lam Research, who completed her PhD at the ALS on dynamic measurements of spin in magnetic materials
* Dr Eugene Chow, manager of microsystems group at PARC with dozens of issued patents and papers, who completed his PhD in electrical engineering at Stanford. You may also recognize him as the original author of the Unofficial Engineering Science Guide!
* Graduates from recent years

SES invites Engineering Science students to join our new mentorship program! Freshmen and incoming Transfer students are invited to apply as mentees, while continuing students are invited to apply as mentors; Sophomores are able to apply for either (or both!). If interested, please apply at the following Google Form by Friday, September 11th at 11:59 PM PT. Thank you, and we look forward to this program!

To all EP majors who want access to the new physics department Reading Room:
"After consideration, the Department decided that it *will* give access to Engineering Physics Majors. As we do not know who they all are,
they must identify themselves and come to me or Kathy with the request for access. Like physics majors, they will be asked to complete all the necessary paperwork.
Please refer EP Majors who wish to request access directly to Student Services. They will need their Cal ID and we will verify their standing and their major." - Claudia
