Pocket doors on our moinds.

Aligning a transom window above a pocketing multislide can be challenging for many different reasons.

1. Pocket doors have irregular sashes and glass sizing
2. Each panel has a different condition. Pic 1; Sash to Frame, pic 2 and 3; Sash over Sash, and then Pic 4; Sash to interlock.
3. Each Sash sits on a different plane.

We chose to align the two center mullions. Easy once you know the Sash widths. The challenge came at the rough opening. We chose to align the finished reveal at the jambs of each window so that the exterior finish would be consistent on the door and the window. We chose the interlock side Pic 4) as the basis of design. And then adjusted the rough opening width on the jamb picture (Pic 1)

From the homeowners perspective it will have a consistent finish and reveal!
