The rug is straightened. The pillows are placed. The furniture is positioned just right. Every detail is considered before we call an installation complete.

Our white glove delivery goes beyond simply getting everything through the door. It’s the final adjustments, careful placement, and attention to the smallest details that bring the designer’s vision fully to life.

The work may go unnoticed. The result doesn’t.

A new project often begins with what stays, what moves, and what arrives next. McCorquodale manages the full cycle and heavy lifting from move-out to installation.

While you focus on what the home will become, we take care of what happens in between, keeping every piece in good hands until old and new come together in the finished interior.

One team, one seamless process, from the first piece out to the final piece placed.

Design Dialogue: Michael Mitchell

1. What first drew you to interior design, and when did you realize it would become your career?

I've always been drawn to spaces that tell a story. Rooms that feel collected, layered, and personal rather than decorated. It wasn't one single moment, but over time it became clear this wasn't just an interest; it was how I saw the world.

2. How would you define your signature style, and how has it evolved?

Our signature style is what I call "twisted traditional." It's rooted in classic forms and timeless architecture, but there's always a tension, something unexpected that keeps it from feeling predictable.

3. What materials, finishes, or textures are you currently drawn to?

Right now, I'm really drawn to contrast. Things like high-gloss against matte, polished stone next to something worn or aged.

4. What's a recent project or detail you're especially proud of?

We recently completed a large-scale farmhouse project that, while new construction, truly feels like it's been handed down through generations. The home was collected over the course of a few years during construction, sourcing pieces from all over the world.

5. Define the Michael Mitchell brand today?

Today, the brand is about more than just design - it's about experience. At its core, it's about access: access to great design, to inventory, to expertise, and to a process that feels both elevated and approachable.

6. What is a design trend you're loving right now?

The shift away from overly minimal, sterile spaces and back toward warmth and personality. People are embracing color again, deeper tones, and rooms that feel lived-in. There's a renewed appreciation for character.

7. What stood out to you with working with McCorquodale Transfer?

The level of professionalism and care. In our world, the details matter - how items are received, stored, and delivered has a direct impact on the final result. Their team understands that responsibility and operates with a level of organization and communication that makes a real difference.

Peace of mind is knowing the job gets done right, even when you're not in the room.

It's trusting the team that arrives at your client's home to reflect the same professionalism, care, and attention to detail that defines your own brand. That's the responsibility we carry with every project, and it's one we never take lightly.

A special thank you, Jeremy D. Clark, for trusting McCorquodale Transfer to represent your brand and support your vision.

Johnathan Savage reminds us that the most successful interiors are about more than aesthetics. They are thoughtfully designed to be lived in, to evolve with those who inhabit them, and to remain both beautiful and enduring.

A philosophy that never loses its relevance.

Trends come and go, but some things never go out of style.

Clear communication. Showing up when you say you will. Owning the details. Taking pride in your work.

They're not extras. They're simply the way business should be done.
