Summer of love silk art These are prayer flags of my heart! Color therapy uplifting the ALL of LIFE. Silk art is created with many steps of hands on love.

May they create for you balance, imagination, creativity, joy, love, consciousness, peace, harmony, well being, and a sense of Oneness Each silk begins white and is stretched and suspended. The line work is hand drawn using a gutta resist, creating a container for the color and a sense of design for the piece. The dyes are brushed in by hand just like painting. Colors are selected with an unders

tanding of the chakra system and chosen for well being. When dried, the art pieces are rolled in parchment paper, to be steam set in a large steamer for 4 hours, heating it to a point of setting it permanently into the silk. A series of 12 rinse baths (by hand) in my claw foot bathtub releases any unabsorbed dye. The silks are dried on my farm clothes line, kissed by the sun and finally pressed by hand with an iron. All of these steps are opportunities for me to uphold a high frequency of love through intentions, thoughts and feelings, to be absorbed into the silk ( which is a natural conduit for energy), and released out into the world.
